Prof. Dr. Andreas Dombret, a German-American economist, Vice Chairman (2005–2009) and General Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland of Bank of America, celebrated his 50th birthday at the Arnulf Rainer Museum in Baden.
The avowed fan of Arnulf Rainer und sponsor of the museum says: "In America it is common for philanthropists, foundations or companies to sponsor museums. In Austria or Germany, such partnerships are equally important, as funds for cultural institutions are difficult to raise from public budgets alone. I am proud taking an active role in the cultivation of my home town."
The Arnulf Rainer Museum is an important attraction in Baden. „Baden is full of many historic jewels which need to be conserved. But at the same time we need to look ahead and be open for new attractions“. With his personal engagement as a sponsor of the Arnulf Rainer Museum, Prof. Dr. Dombret wants to encourage others to do the very same: „I am well off – I want to give back. It is only natural to open the wallet where your heart beats“.
Mayor Erika Adensamer awarded Mr Dombret on the occasion of his birthday with the silver city arms of Baden.
