Family Tours

An exploration of the current exhibition in the Arnulf Rainer Museum with children and parents, followed by a creative workshop in the KUNSTATELIER (Art Studio).
Art is not only observed but actively experienced, using various materials, techniques and paints.

In the OFFENE KUNSTATELIER (Open Art Studio), visitors can learn more about the working methods employed in the most recent works by Arnulf Rainer and Georg Baselitz. Why does Arnulf Rainer paint over his pictures? Why does Georg Baselitz position his works upside down? In this exploration, creativity knows no bounds.
Parents can either take part in the KUNSTATELIER workshops too or bring their children and collect them at the end of the event.

Holiday workshops

The artists Georg Baselitz and Arnulf Rainer are the focus of all activities on the workshop days. Children can experiment with different painting techniques, learn more about the current exhibition BASELITZ / RAINER, LUSTSPIEL, hear the story of the Frauenbad and make new friends in the process!

Events for children and families

"Die Welt wird auf den Kopf gestellt" ("The world is turned upside-down" )
Interactive dance theatre

The yearly tradition of a special Christmas programme for our younger visitors continues this year too. Choreographer Victoria Primus challenges children to take part in an interactive theatre performance. Children's participation will not only bring the performance to life but make it possible altogether!
